Community Involvement
Involvement in our community is more than something we do… it’s who we are.
Your financed dollars keep working in Central Oregon. As a Mid Oregon Credit Union member, you are supporting local jobs and investing in local events and organizations. Mid Oregon supports many organizations through charitable giving and involvement. Employees also volunteer many hours to community projects and civic organizations every year in Central Oregon.
April 7-25, 2025
Thank you for donating in the branches, over the phone, and online to the SMART Reading Branch
Fundraiser. Your contributions stay right in your community, supporting the programs happening in your local schools.
SMART Reading is a literacy nonprofit that serves kids in Oregon's highest-need schools and communities by providing two ingredients critical to literacy and learning success—shared reading time and books that students can keep.
SMART Reading is reading with more than 1,000 students across 22 sites in Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, and Northern Klamath counties. By helping children build confidence, literacy skills, and a love of reading, they hope to reduce the negative ripple effects of illiteracy and help them realize their full potential.
Members of our Mid Oregon team currently volunteer as SMART readers at local school sites, so we are proud to build on our partnership by supporting SMART Reading for our spring in-branch fundraiser.
